The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) is part of a network of organizations founded by Jim Balsillie to build capacity in international affairs in Canada and abroad. Mr. Balsillie is co-Chief Executive Officer of Research In Motion of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

CIGI is an independent think tank whose mandate is to address international global governance challenges. The Balsillie School of International Affairs is a collaborative partnership among CIGI, Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo for the study of international affairs and global governance. The Canadian International Council is a non-partisan, nationwide council established to strengthen Canada’s role in international affairs. IGLOO Incorporated is a software company that develops technology to facilitate and promote knowledge exchange among individuals and institutions working, studying or advising on global issues.
